The Great Riverboat Race of 1870!

A great riverboat race took place from June 30 to July 4, 1870. It was between two opulent steamboats, the Natchez and the Robert E. Lee. It started in New Orleans and ended in St. Louis.
I won't give the winner of the race here, instead I'll suggest you read the article Waiting For the Robert E. Lee at Yankee Jazz Beat!
On a personal note my great great grandfather Frank Wecker who had been a drummer boy from Kentucky during the Civil War, after the war actually found himself working on the famous riverboat Robert E. Lee.
There are also a couple of jazz tunes tied in with this famous race!

Script Meeting!

I just had an awesome script meeting with fellow actor Larry DaCosta, who did a hilarious cameo in my comedy short The Girl of His Dreams!

This time, however, we met over lunch to discuss a project that he came up with based on his own experiences. I won't say what his storyline is about only that it has a lot of prospects and is very funny.

I'll be working with Larry on the script and our conference went well.

Here is an interview with Larry DaCosta regarding his work on The Girl of His Dreams.

Holding, Episode 8: Waiting

All good things must end and so Casey McDougal's fantastic webseries Holding bids it's final, "Farewell."

Holding, Episode 8: Waiting, is now released. I made a large appearance as "myself" in this the last episode of the series.

I can't say I contributed much to this one, but it was fun participating and working with many of the same people who worked on the first episode (the one I shot).

Behind the Scenes: A Holding Mini-Sode

It is out! Casey McDougal and her Purple Kitty Productions, LLC has just released Behind the Scenes: A Holding Mini-Sode which is part of her tremendous web-series accomplishment Holding.

I was lucky enough to be invited to take part in this hilarious mini-sode. I play the moronic Myron Moreland interviewing the over inflated ego Casey McDougal!

It was honor being invited to take part and getting to work with Casey again! It was fun working with Jim Hetrick and the whole cast and crew.

So without further ado...

New Acting Gig - December 2013

I'm very excited to report that in December 2013 I will be working on my fourth episode of the web series Holding, created, written, directed and starring Casey McDougal.

It will be my third acting gig on the series, but I shot the pilot for her, until someone with more talent took over the filming of the other shows.

My last work on the series was playing a cable access interviewer Myron Moreland. I had a great deal of fun doing that and I think it is going to be a very funny Minisode!

Casey and I have been friends for years. We first ran into each other on a movie set and have been making fun of each other ever since. She starred as "Casey" in my recently completed comedy The Girl of His Dreams, which came out well, if I do say so myself! The only reason why I cast her was because I needed to find someone named Casey to play the part! Pity that "Casey" was originally supposed to have been a guy!

Here is an interview with Casey McDougal concerning my film:

The Man in the Movie - Behind the Scenes

George A. Borgman, Eric B. Borgman's father, was given two prominent roles in his son Eric's first feature film The Man in the Movie.

The Man in the Movie is a comedy about a nerdy librarian who discovers silent comedies at a Silent Comedy Film Festival and discovers that one of the silent comedians looks very familiar to him.

George played an annoyed theater goer and a silent comedy "heavy."

Here is behind-the-scenes footage that George video taped during one of his scenes at the movie theater.
